Dr. Furman is a podiatrist who has been practicing  in the Northern Virginia area for over twenty-five  years.  She specializes in treating sports medicine, repetitive lower extremity injuries,  musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction.  Dr. Furman's philosophy is to treat every patient  with the same goal....getting back to their activity and an active life style.  Whether it is 75 year old recreational tennis player , 30 year old elite runner , or middle-aged walker.  An athlete herself she understands how important it is to stay active.  She understands from her years of experience how chronic foot and ankle pain can begin to change a patients quality of life by the limitation that pain will put on activity.

Dr. Ayne Furman is a graduate of the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine and received a B.S. degree in Kinesiological Science from University of Maryland.
