As an athlete, you want to consult with a  doctor who understands your sport and knows how to appropriately modify  your routine while you are recovering from an injury or recommendations to prevent injury.  If you are a non-athlete you want to consult with a podiatrist dedicated to getting you to back to as  active life style as desired.

Dr. Ayne Furman is a physically active health care professional who runs approximately 30 miles a week,  has completed  8 marathons, bikes, plays tennis  regularly and plays golf on occasion.  Dr. Furman has coached her son's soccer team, as well.  She knows the words all athletes hate to hear, "Stop....rest".  While Dr. Ayne Furman does not actively participate in every sport,  her 25 years experience in the sports medicine field has allowed her to become familiar with many different sports beyond the ones she does personally; such as: fencing, aerobic dance, step aerobics, race walking, martial arts, ballroom dancing, ballet, basketball, baseball and football.

 

 Dr. Furman treats any  patient that just wants to get rid of living with foot and ankle pain with the most conservative methods possible.
